Santa Susana National Monument — Public Meeting
When: March 26th, 6:30pm
Where: West Hills, California at the Corporate Pointe Auditorium
Located at 8413 Fallbrook Avenue, the meeting will be hosted by the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians, the federally recognized tribe representing interests of the local tribes on this issue. Currently, the test stands that got us to the moon, located at the same place where Native Americans gazed upward and created these images with such astronomical precision, are slated for demolition this year. Much like the effort needed to launch a rocket into space, we want to #SaveHistory before it’s too late.
Join us for an informational presentation on why designating Santa Susana Field Laboratory as a National Monument makes sense for preservation of history and protecting of the sacred cultural resources at the site such as the Burro Flats Cave among many others.
We want to give the site a future and save history for future generations. Please join us for this important discussion. #SSFLNational Monument
